Adrianne Lenker is an American singer-songwriter.
He also works as the lead vocalist and guitarist for the indie rock band Big Thief.
Big Thief released an album in 2019 that was nominated for a Grammy Award, and embarked on a world tour, but the tour was suspended due to the effects of COVID-19, and this album was created in the freed-up schedule.
The recording was done in a mountain cabin in Massachusetts using all analog equipment without any digital processing, and the album is filled with the gentle sounds of acoustic guitar.
Recording without digital equipment allows for a realistic finish that allows you to hear natural environmental sounds such as rain, wind, and birdsong. The sound of the acoustic guitar is not crystal clear, but its raw sound resonates naturally.
This is a wonderful folk album that is natural and unpretentious.
